Congrats to Amy and Joe who began
Shifting at the beginning of the summer—Amy shared “Joe has
released over 26 lb and I've released 12 lb since we started mid-June.
Joe met his first goal/vision and barefoot waterskied for the first time
in about 15 years last week. He was very happy and I am very happy for
him. And, stepping back, it's pretty great to have found a way to
incorporate this approach to weight mastery despite the hectic mess that just
"is life" as a working couple with young kids. So thank you, thank
you, thank you!”

CURIOSITY KILLED THE FAT
Welcome and Happy Labor Day! This month of September’s theme is “Hitting RESET on Your Weight Release” which is all about refocusing after the diversions of the summer. My coaching for this month is—that instead of “trying to get back on track” that you get really “curious” instead. WHY?
Try this test:
1) Say to yourself “I am going to really try and lose weight this week.”
Feel anything click in your mind? My guess is that you probably didn’t.
2) Now say to yourself, “I am curious, how am I going to eat in a way that I love that will allow me to release one pound of fat this week? What kind of foods do I need in my house? What things are in my environment that I should get rid of because they take my power away? What kind of “fun” but healthy treats can I plan for myself? How can I make sure I get to the gym this week 3 times and work out 45 minutes each time? What days can I make it happen?”
I bet your mind really began to work—to create pictures of you eating
healthfully and you actually at the gym working out. YOU ENGAGED YOUR MIND.
Curiosity
kills the fat because the TOOL OF CURIOSITY and asking YOURSELF QUESTIONS turns
ON your brain to imagining how to make things work for you. Give yourself
orders turns OFF the brain and so that is why we never get the right results
when we say to ourselves, “I’ve got to
exercise this week”, “I am going to try eating no sugar”, “I hope I don’t go
overboard at the party.” Can’t you just
hear your unconscious zzzzzzzzzzzzzzing
away?HIT RESET So let’s roll in September by RESETING the focus on our weight release after all those summer breaks and BBQs by my asking you a few questions to get your brain going in the right direction.
-What is a specific tangible vision do you have for your weight and health for New Years 2014—it will be here soon! Take a moment and create that vision.
-What specific
weight release goal can you set on a weekly basis to get there realistically
and lovingly?
-When is
some time you can take daily to create a healthy eating strategy for that
day? Morning? Night?
How will you make sure you are managing your blood sugar and keeping the
carbs low enough not to go into CARB ZOMBIE mode?-When is you week can you schedule in “no kidding” exercise sessions? Is there someone who can hold you accountable and even exercise with you?
-What are some habit road blacks that are in your way? What are 2 doable strategies you can try to by-pass that habit?
-Have you been listening to your hypnosis sessions? Haven’t you noticed when you listen to your hypnosis things just fall into place? How can you make hypnosis a priority?
Can you see how getting curious is just another fabulous tool that you can put in your weight mastery tool chest as you head towards long term permanent weight release this autumn?
